Originally a seafaring nation, Qatar is now one of the richest per capita countries in the world. Elegant and refined with a laid-back atmosphere, particularly in Doha, its capital, Qatar is a pleasure to explore with magnificent dunes, ancient forts, modern malls and a string of beautiful beaches.
Ramadan is estimated to fall between 1 September – 1 October 08. During this time there are restrictions on eating and drinking in daylight but most hotels operate restaurants throughout the day. No alcohol is served between 7am and 7pm and in some hotels is only available through Room Service.

The UAE has a sub-tropical arid climate and is warm and sunny in winter, but hot and humid during the summer months. The humidity is particularly high in the coastal areas. Rainfall is virtually non- existent, with occasional short showers occurring mainly in winter (December to March).
