Home to ‘Mix' award-winning restaurant with the best views of the strip
Features the Bathhouse a 14,000 square foot state-of-the-art spa
THEhotel stands in its own sleek 43-storey tower in Las Vegas' glamorous Mandalay Bay resort. This is not a casino hotel - though it is connected to one by a grand promenade - but a world of magazine-shoot chic, ambiguous modern art, and beautiful staff in head-to-toe black. Every one of the 1,117 rooms is a genuine (and very large) suite done in contemporary black, tans, gleaming woods and sharp lines. There are plasma-screen TVs in every room, including the enormous marble bathroom. Reached by two thrilling glass-backed elevators, the top floor is a restaurant and nightclub called Mix - an Alain Ducasse restaurant decorated entirely in white and silver, famous for its French and American dishes and views of the Strip.
The world-class spa and gym are on the second floor, but for all other recreation guests use the facilities of Mandalay Bay - a playground based around a golden beach offering a wave pool, jogging track and three swimming pools. The multi award-winning pool area is considered the best in Las Vegas. Luxury shopping and golf are also on the menu, as is coming face to face with ‘Jaws' at Shark Reef Aquarium. Just off the beach is the glass-fronted Beachside Casino with fabulous views of the water in a casual, upscale setting.
