Amanjena

Amanjena is a multi award-winning resort secluded in a super-private lush haven on the outskirts of Marrakech. The resort's stylish design emulates the old Moorish pisé (packed earth) buildings and Berber villages that cling to the dramatic Atlas Mountains in the background.

The 39 terracotta-coloured private Pavilions and Maisons are spacious and exquisitely designed; 15 with private pools, and garden courtyards; all with wood-burning sunken fires for the most romantic light. Terraces have pillared gazebos with cushioned seating areas and candle lanterns creating a secluded area to relax and dine.

There are three boutiques within the cedar-ceiling colonnade that borders Amanjena's 33m heated outdoor pool. There's also a timber-floored gym, clay tennis courts, golf, and a gorgeous spa based around two hammams.

Open only for dinner, the elegant Restaurant offers innovative local cuisine alongside Continental dishes. The poolside airy Thai Restaurant opens for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Pool Terrace, meanwhile, serves breakfast and lunch overlooking the pool and golf course.

Intimate dinners accompanied by local music can be organised in a traditional, very romantic tent in the olive grove. The hotel can also arrange private tours to the souks, sights and Atlas Mountains.
