The hotel's 37 stylishly appointed rooms and suites are accommodated within three estate buildings, all offering panoramic views of the mountains and the rich purple slopes populated with Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon vines. Decorated in traditional style, the accommodation is spacious and elegant with balconies or terraces and includes Family Suites, Executive Suites, a Honeymoon Suite and a Presidential Suite in the three-storey tower complete with Jacuzzi and roaring open fire.
Fine dining is part of the Asara experience. Signature restaurant, Raphael's, specialises in classic European-inspired cuisine in a relaxed, yet elegant setting. The Asara Bistro serves light tapas-style dishes, enabling guests to enjoy a variety of tastes and textures in a single sitting. Luxurious Sansibar Lounge is the ideal place to gather with friends and indulge in an end-of-day whisky.
The wines are the real stars here, of course. A safari through the vines is a treat for visitors, as is an informative - and truly memorable - trip round Asara's cellar. The hotel's wine-tasting centre is the perfect way to sample a range of award-winning wines, all of which can be purchased.
