Unique and Exclusive Lord Howe Experience
A place of rugged volcanic peaks and lush forests encircled by the southernmost coral reef in the world, Lord Howe Island lies off Australia’s east coast.
It is rather a well-kept secret. A mere 280 individuals are fortunate enough to call this World Heritage site home and visitor numbers are restricted to 400. This means the dramatic views can often be appreciated in rare total peace: a cascade of glass plunges dramatically from the Lodge’s skillion roof, allowing subtropical forests, towering peaks and aquamarine reef to take centre stage. The entire layout, in fact, takes advantage of the stunning location, with the Lagoon Lofts designed so that your upper level bedroom looks directly over the best views on the island.
All the room interiors feature timber floors, white shutters and custom furniture pieces which create a pleasing beach house chic. The piece de resistance though must be the premium Lidgbird Suite, which offers dramatic 270° ocean views direct from its large wrap around verandah, which also happens to house its own plunge spa pool.
The petite Capella Spa’s intriguing menu features a range of soothing foot therapies for guests who’ve made the stout climb up and down nearby Mount Gower.
