An English country house style hotel
Perfect choice for discerning foodies
Cobblers Cove, St Peter blends the relaxed atmosphere of an English country home with the tropical beauty of the Caribbean. With its well heeled, mainly British clientele and beautifully manicured air, there are times when it seems like an English house party in the tropics.
Gracious Bajan staff provide the essentials of a pampered stay, beginning with a refreshing cocktail on arrival along terracotta brick pathways winding through flowering hibiscus and mussaenda.
Set in two-storey buildings, Cobblers’ 40 suites each have an elegant bedroom and a drawing room (with sofa beds, ideal for a child) with a balcony or sitting area at the front that looks out onto the vivid gardens, and in some cases the sea. The Camelot and Cotton Suites have marble flooring, hand-painted furnishings and a jacuzzi.
Candlelit beachside dinners are such a pleasure here, where the beach front restaurant (loved by Delia Smith) has won local and international awards.
A creative list of activities and excursions – including swimming with turtles - keeps children enthralled, and a babysitter can be relied on when you need to wind down in peace. Windsurfing, snorkelling and other exhilarating watersports are readily available.
When its’ time to pamper, Pevonia wellbeing treatments - including a facial using pure caviar and pearl extracts - can be blissfully succumbed to in a traditional Bajan-style chattel house.
