Curtain Bluff has been welcoming guests to the southern tip of Antigua for over 45 years. And what a welcome. Nestling on a peninsula, it is surrounded by a reef protecting the haven’s two superior sandy beaches - one a tranquil bay, the other a dramatic watersports spot, where you can enjoy complimentary activities such as, sailing, scuba-diving and windsurfing.
Then there’s the impeccable award-winning service from welcoming staff that make you feel less VIP than part of the family. And the touching trust adds to this. The even larger and especially luxurious Morris Bay and Grace Bay suites come with four-poster beds and glamorous balcony Jacuzzis. Some guests come primarily for the fantastic food and wine; Curtain Bluff’s prodigious wine cellar is the largest in the Caribbean, and wine tastings are a weekly treat. French-born Christophe Blatz keeps his continental menu limited, allowing him to freshly prepare and artistically arrange each divine dish.

Winding their way up the Bluff the deluxe rooms all feature king-size beds, louvered windows, wicker furnishings and stunning ocean views. The junior suites are directly on the beach and feature sunken living areas and custom designed marble & granite bathrooms, while the Grace Bay and Morris Bay Suites provide over 1944 square feet of luxurious surroundings with a large terrace overlooking the ocean - each with their own Jacuzzi.
Curtain Bluff offers some of the finest dining in the Caribbean with breakfast, lunch and dinner included in the price. Attire is very casual during the day, but beach cover-ups are appreciated in the dining room at breakfast. At other times gentlemen are requested to wear long pants (no jeans, please), a collared shirt and dress shoes in the evening.
Breakfast and dinner are served al fresco in the Main Dining Room with sweeping views of the gardens. Lunch is served around the main bar terrace or in the more casual atmosphere of the Beach Club, which has been restyled with luxurious teak furniture. In-room dining is available during all meal hours.
Afternoon tea is served on the Sugar Mill Terrace.
Live music is played nightly for dancing in the Garden Pavilion.
There is also a weekly beach party luncheon with a live steel-drum band and Caribbean buffet.
Guests can enjoy the hotel's many activities; from swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, windsurfing, water-skiing and diving; to tennis, squash, putting, croquet, yoga, Pilates, water aerobics and working out in the fitness centre. The hotel's two beaches invite rest and relaxation.
On holidays and other times when many children are at the resort, Curtain Bluff's meeting room also serves as a playroom with television, videos and games. Movies are sometimes shown for guests in the activities room.
Beautiful Blue Waters resides besides two beaches in Soldiers Bay on the northern coast of Antigua - an intimate feeling tropical haven for families.
