A scenic seaplane ride from Malé Airport, this verdant coral island offers sophisticated pleasures on land and water – from genuine ayurvedic pampering to diving in the Maldives’ most gorgeous lagoon. Spread among 44 lush acres, the 102 villa resort offers Beach Bungalows and Villas with lagoon or ocean views, outdoor showers, private plunge pools and beautiful gardens. Uniquely designed Koimala Land and Ocean Villas on the north eastern shore are formed of a land pavilion housing the living area. From a wooden walkway, past a plunge pool, the sleeping pavilion ‘floats’ on water. Secluded at the heart of the island, the Spa stretches down to sea, with 10 thatched treatment pavilions – four over the ocean, three in a lush garden setting and three in the Ayurvedic Retreat, a separate pavilion designed to take guests on a journey through the rewarding physical, nutritional and emotional benefits of the ancient ayurvedic health and well being system. Al Barakat - this restaurant is built over water, off the main jetty and offers Lebanese mezze, grill items and North African specialties. A Shisha Bar serves Arabian coffee and features authentic Shisha water pipes.
The Barbecue - located next to the seawater pool overlooking Kudarikilu Kandu (the channel), The Barbecue offers fresh catch of the day as well as a wide selection of meats, salads and side dishes.
Cafe Landaa - overlooking the swimming pool and beach, the three thatch-roofed pavilions of Cafe Landaa appear to float above the sapphire waters on the north shore of Landaa Giraavaru. For breakfast, lunch and dinner, chefs create exquisite delights with eastern and western influences.
Blu - located at the western end of the island overlooking a 2-kilometre lagoon, Blu embraces the essence of the Maldives as the place where the ocean meets the sky.
The restaurant serves a la carte breakfast, light antipasti, pizza and pasta at lunch and fine Italian cuisine in the evening.
Five Degrees North - the resort's main bar, named for the island's location five degrees north of the equator, commands views of the entire island.
