Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan is a supremely tranquil retreat in the sacred Ayung River valley. To reach it, guests walk past a lotus pool floating above the treetops to discover the luxurious villas below, the vast forest highlands, rice terraces and the Sayan jungle. Mesmerising.

Set near the fast flowing Ayung River, each of the spa villas accommodates tandem treatments for couples and is connected to outdoor bathing pavilions with steam showers. Large soaking tubs with adjacent open-air showers discreetly overlook the private garden courtyards.
Ayung Terrace restaurant and wine cellar serves exceptional cuisine and wine on the crest of a lush gorge; the river views are frequently a point of conversation. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, it sometimes hosts hands-on Balinese cooking classes. The Jati Bar, perched on the edge of the Ayung River, makes an excellent spot for a sunset cocktail. The resort's 18 suites and 42 villas offer the ultimate in privacy and comfort - a tropical haven set in the lush Ayung River valley. Guest accommodations reflect the exotic surroundings, featuring Indonesian furnishings and local handmade fabrics.
One-Bedroom Villas are designed to harmonise with the exotic surroundings, offering spectacular views of the rice terraces, resort landscape and jungle, with a lotus garden and a water feature at the entrance to each villa. Positioned along the crest of the verdant hillside, the villas offer spectacular views of the rice terraces and jungle of the sacred Ayung River valley. The villas are furnished with stained hardwood floors and a state-of-the-art entertainment centre with CD system, 25-inch colour TV and VCD player. The impressive living area opens onto a large wooden deck with a private plunge pool (12 square metres/129 square feet) and outdoor garden shower. The large outdoor Bali shower has natural teak flooring set over white stone pebbles, enclosed by floor-to-ceiling teak screens on three sides to offer privacy. The full bathroom features blue or green terrazzo tiles, black granite countertops, double basins with Italian fixtures, a deep-soaking tub with a detachable hand shower fixture and a separate glass-enclosed shower. All walls are smooth finished plaster stone.
The spacious one and two level suites offer tranquility and exceptional comfort, centrally located just steps from the Spa and the resort's superb restaurant and lounge. They each feature an elegant living room with dining area and adjacent guest powder room. The spacious bedroom leads to a luxurious full bathroom, with blue or green terrazzo tiles, black granite counter tops, double basins and Italian fixtures, a deep soaking tub with a hand shower and a separate enclosed shower.

Asian Restaurant - Ayung Terrace - Elegantly situated on the crest of a lush gorge, Ayung Terrace offers breathtaking views of the river below. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Seating for 24 is available in the dining room, an outdoor terrace area accommodates 40 people, and an adjacent wine cellar area seats eight. The inspired menu offers a selection of innovative, contemporary Asian-style cuisine and Indonesian specialties. The chef also creates unique specials each day. A children's menu is available.
Italian Restaurant - Riverside Cafe - A casual, poolside, open-air setting with a wood-burning pizza oven. Set in the valley by the sacred Ayung River and shaded by an alang-alang thatched roof and umbrellas, this restaurant is open from late morning to early evening and seats 40. The restaurant offers light fare and wood-burning-oven pizzas. The chef also creates a fish and pasta dish daily. A children's menu is available.
Room Service - In-Villa Dining - Four Seasons In-Villa Dining is a fine-dining experience within the comfort and convenience of your guest room or suite. Choose from an extensive menu, day or night, ideal for time-zone-hopping travellers, impromptu meetings or for quiet, private dining.
Lounge - Jati Bar - This comfortable lounge is built out of beautiful teak wood, and is known for its spectacular views of the Ayung Valley and delicious libations. Wireless Internet access is also available.
