Half Moon

Young guests are well looked after at Anancy Childrens Village, offering supervised treasure hunts, costume shows and plant-a-tree events. Older children have plenty to choose from too, including tennis clinics, volleyball, nature walks, golf on a par 72 championship walking course, horseback riding and water sports galore. There are no fewer than 51 swimming pools here, including an Olympic-size lap pool. But everyone's highlight is always the Dolphin Lagoon. Half Moon is the only resort in the Caribbean where you can swim and come face-to-face with playful, loving dolphins. You need to make a reservation before booking your break. Private swims are available. Children are welcomed in all six restaurants at Half Moon, and special menus and early seatings are at the Seagrape Terrace, overlooking Sunset Beach. Spa-ing and shopping are a welcome temptation -  the former at a 68,000 square feet indoor/outdoor sanctuary called Fern Tree. The latter in an arcade of almost 40 duty-free boutiques in the Half Moon Shopping Village, a quick free shuttle ride away.
