Hotel de Crillon, Paris

Overlooking the famous Place de la Concorde, the Hotel de Crillon epitomises Parisian luxury. Constructed in the 18th century as a royal palace, it was transformed into a hotel in 1909 and still retains the atmosphere of an aristocratic private residence. Its remarkable location means that guests can enjoy easy access to some of Paris's most famous sights - the Louvre, Jardins des Tuileries and Eiffel Tower are all close by. The shopping is incomparable. Dior, Lanvin, Hermès and Cartier are near neighbours and a short walk leads to the Champs Elysées and the many boutiques of Rue du Faubourg St Honoré and Rue de Rivoli.
