Mandarin Oriental Bangkok

This Bangkok landmark on the banks of the Chao Praya River has entertained the rich and famous for almost 130 years, winning many awards and becoming an attraction in its own right. It remains unrivaled for service, elegance and reputation.

The 358 rooms and 35 suites are furnished in a classic colonial style and come with a personal butler. The 4 Authors' Suites in the oldest part of the hotel include the Somerset Maugham room with a carved four-poster bed swathed in hot-pink fabric. Rooms in the newest building are more spacious, if not quite so wonderfully romantic.

One of eight famous restaurants here, the Normandie on the roof of the Garden Wing is one of the reigning á la carte French restaurants in Asia, The Riverside Terrace is also a popular spot for cocktails and barbecues. At Sala Rim Naam classical Thai dancing is performed before your table every night. And with its front-row views of the river and live music during dinner, Lord Jim's is one of the city's favourite informal dining destinations.

There's also a nirvana-like spa, Thai cookery school, tennis courts, gym, sauna, two pools, yoga, plus the possibility of memorable river and dinner  cruises on a rice barge.

There are currently no special offers to show at this resort. Call one of our Sales Ambassadors on 0844 846 8000 to discuss your perfect holiday.
