Moorea Pearl Resort & Spa, French Polynesia

Rising magically out of the ocean in a neat explosion of lush vegetation and surrounded by a wide shallow lagoon, Moorea is all that you might imagine a South Seas island to be.

Two miles from the magnificent Cook's Bay often billed as the most beautiful bay in world - the Moorea Pearl Resort & Spa occupies 7.5 acres of wild, white sand beach front. It is a romantic place. A traditional Polynesian-style hotel, it offers 28 Over Water Bungalows, 8 Beach Bungalows, 28 Garden Pool Bungalows, and 30 Garden Rooms & Family Rooms – all with sundeck. Those ones at the Over Water Bungalows have an inviting sitting area with direct access to the still lagoon.

Nestled in the heart of the resort, the Manea Spa has been conceived and built in the pure tradition of Polynesian wellbeing (know as taurumi in Tahitian), where four masseuses and a masseur are at guests’ entire disposal. Only natural products such as vanilla, coconut and pineapple are used. The resort also offers ‘Romantic Escapades’ such as a two hour sunset cruise on a catamaran, and honeymooners can indulge in ‘Dinner Under-the-Stars a private candlelit dinner on the terrace, plus breakfast delivered by outrigger canoe.
