A sanctuary of seclusion, North Island is an ultra-exclusive tropical lodge in love with its mesmerising setting. The result is a place that touches the lives of its guests long after they’ve left. Created on a virgin island reached by helicopter, it is affectionately known as Noah’s Ark and it’s breathtakingly clear why. All around, the land and air teem with dozens of species of rare birds, reintroduced alongside indigenous trees such as the legendary coco de mer palm.
North Island has a modest 11 guest villas, each 4,890 square feet, nestled along the tree line of a white sand beach. Hand crafted from local materials they possess an authentic home-from-home feel in celebration of Mother Nature. Each has its own private pool, large picture windows, open-air bathrooms with outdoor shower, and private butler service – thoughtful tailored service is a cornerstone of the North Island philosophy.
After a massage on arrival, charming staff will serve you delicious fresh food – picked from the resort’s own gardens - in the location of your choice: the beach, the restaurant or the Sunset Bar, where everything but champagne and premium imports is yours for the taking.

Villa (450 sq m) - A luxuriously proportioned master bedroom with change-room and writing area leads onto a large en-suite bathroom with marble bath and two showers, one indoor and one outdoor. Each Villa also has a second bedroom. The bedrooms are air-conditioned and all rooms have overhead "punkah punkah" fans. The fully retracting sliding doors allow for uninterrupted views onto the lawns and the turquoise seas in front of each Villa. There is satellite television, a DVD/CD system and Internet access.
Cuisine here draws upon the island's exceptional natural resources and is based upon the very finest natural products, lovingly prepared. Influences from Creole, French and Indian cooking are balanced with these resources to create a feast that will awaken your senses. There is a 'no menu' concept and the chef speaks to each guest personally to create an individually tailored culinary experience. This is all complimented by an impressive cellar containing some of the world's great wines and champagnes.
The lounge and dining areas offer a high degree of comfort and also unforgettable views of the sea and mountains. From here, crossing a walkway over the lily pond will bring you to the wine cellar followed immediately by a private dining sala, with the bar that joins the dining area and the lounge standing not far away in the restful shade of a takamaka tree.
Sunset Bar - this simple, rustic bar is located just above the high water mark on the northern end of Grande Anse. Drinks and light snacks can be served for those wanting to enjoy this beach.
The activities on offer on North Island are designed to give guests explore the island and its magic at their own pace. These activities have a minimal impact on the environment whilst providing the thrill and enjoyment of entertainment and exercise.
From its perfect setting down a long private drive on the eastern end of Paradise Island, One&Only Ocean Club has been looking after the world's rich and famous for almost 50 years.
