The Banyan Tree is a precious taste of paradise. Covering 85 acres - much of it lush tropical rainforest - of magnificent Mahé Island, it overlooks one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
Sixty Hillside and Beach Front Villas showcase Seychellois architecture in their eclectic contemporary design and décor, including high sloping ceilings, airy verandas, louvre doors, and hand woven textiles. Deluxe Villas feature their own private swimming pool, outdoor jet pool, steam room, massage pavilion and garden, as well as exclusive services such as champagne upon arrival and afternoon canapés. Every villa has a sun deck.
Relaxing can be an even greater pleasure, courtesy of the phenomenal Banyan Spa therapists who knead, stretch and stroke you into a state of serenity during an in-villa massage. To end, they’ll pour you a cooling drink then prepare a lavender and jasmine petal bath. Bliss.

Romantic beach barbecues can be prepared for you, or luxuriate indoors with your pick of the extensive in-villa dining menu, available whenever you’re in the mood. Its inspired architecture and interior furnishings reflect the natural style of the Seychelles through the use of indigenous materials. Saffron - discover the culinary arts of South East Asia, Thailand in particular, at Saffron, where chefs prepare authentic dishes using traditional recipes and cooking methods. Unique Southeast Asian touches are incorporated into the service style and atmosphere of the restaurant.
La Varangue - this intimate lounge bar serves a good selection of snacks such as tapas, pizzas and light Thai specialties, as well as a wide range of refreshing alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. It is an enchanting place for casual moments during the day or aperitifs and after dinner drinks in the evenings.
Lobby Lounge - the bright and cheery lobby lounge offers a delightful setting for a leisurely 'Afternoon Tea'. Choose from the finest of herbal teas and Arabian coffees, served with an assortment of pastries and scones with homemade jam and cream. Here you can while away a few hours of afternoon bliss.
