The Oberoi

The award-winning Oberoi eloquently captures the spirit of Mauritius by twinning abundant natural beauty with refined luxury. Located in 20 acres of luscious sub-tropical gardens, the deluxe resort overlooks the mesmerising waters of Turtle Bay. Perfectly suited to couples needing to escape and recharge in absolute luxury, every room at the Oberoi has a romantic four-poster bed and inviting marble sunken bath. The villas, each with its own lush garden and dining gazebo overlooking a private swimming pool, make an exclusive retreat for those seeking pure privacy. Their rustic feel extends to the dining. The Oberoi restaurant serves French, Indian and Creole dishes beneath a soaring roof of palm thatched timbers, looking out to panoramic views of the Indian Ocean. At sunset, candles flickering, the evening song of frogs in your ear, you could be forgiven for thinking you’ve gone to heaven. The Oberoi Spa offers traditional Mauritian treatments using natural local oils and fruits alongside conventional therapies. Guests recommend the blissful coconut husk body brush, followed by a deep massage with freshly ground coconut. Afterwards, you can doze outside in one of the individual open-air suites.
