Seminyak is an increasingly popular area of luxury shops, restaurants and hotels on the west coast of Bali, just north of Kuta and Legian. It is also home to the Samaya Bali, where the spa, the restaurants, the gardens, the Olympic-size pool - everything faces the shimmering Indian Ocean.

The Samaya's 24 (soon to be more) private individual villas - the heart of this full service resort - command a key location along the fashionable Seminyak Beach. 18 Pool Villas each have a private plunge pool. Four spacious one-bed Royal Pavillions come with private pool, dining area and jacuzzi, whilst a pair of two-bed Royal Pavillions feature the same but across 475 square metres each.

Very close to the beach stands the eye catching Breeze Restaurant & Bar, which can accommodate up to 100 diners - sometimes Presidents and Prime Ministers among them - under cover or outside on the attractive decking, surrounded by an elegant water feature. Whisky connoisseurs note - there are 12 on the menu, including eight single-malts. The place has won awards for its wines, too.

Among the spa's most requested treatments is their signature massage: four hands in harmony, blending five massage styles - Japanese Shiatsu, Thai, Hawaian Lomi Lomi, Swedish and Balinese. Sublime.
