Most hotels on the west coast of Barbados are more than a walk to anywhere but the beach. The Sandpiper, however, backs on to a thin strip of silken sand just outside Holetown which features several restaurants, bars and shops.

Flowering bougainvillea hang from the terraces of the 47 luxurious low rise units fitted with the latest creature comforts. The exclusive Tree Top suites, interior designed by Britain’s Helen Green, epitomise modern luxury with a private sundeck, plunge pool, and wraparound terrace where cocktails are sipped shaded from the sun. The restaurant serves award winning Caribbean and seafood dishes in an intimate West Indian vaulted ceiling setting opening onto the beautiful gardens.
The Sandpiper has a pool, floodlit tennis courts with a complimentary tennis pro-programme and a gym. It also offers its own watersports with complimentary windsurfing, snorkelling, water-skiing, kayaking, Hobie Cat and Sunfish sailing.

Garden rooms consists of air conditioned rooms, each with king or twin beds, bathroom and patio or balcony. These rooms can accommodate 2 adults. Also included is a refrigerator, safe, hair dryer and a televisison, DVD player and CD player in the living room.
Air conditioned one bedroom accommodation with separate living room containing a sofa bed, kitchen, bathroom and patio or balcony. These suites can accommodate either 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children under 12 years. Featured in the living room is a television, DVD player, CD player and a selection of DVDs and CDs.
The two Tree Top Suites are The Sandpiper's premier accommodation. They consist of a bedroom with four poster or canopied bed, spacious living room, a dressing area and a large bathroom with a big walk-in shower and separate tub - all air conditioned.
There is a large covered terrace and open sundeck area with a pool approximately 12 feet by 9 feet by 3 feet deep. Featured in the living room is a television, DVD player, CD player and a selection of DVDs and CDs.
The restaurant serves award-winning Caribbean and seafood dishes in an intimate West Indian setting with a vaulted ceiling, trellis and koi ponds. Enjoy a private breakfast in your room or around the pool, or a leisurely lunch at the bamboo-fronted beach bar.
"Harold's Bar" is located right by the calm Caribbean Sea. Named after a special member of staff, who was a recipient of the Caribbean Hotel Employee of the Year award for 2002, this bamboo fronted bar is a popular meeting place for guests.
The restaurant at the Sandpiper is renowned as being one of the finest on the island and the cuisine rates very highly, having won numerous awards. It has a West Indian theme with a limed vaulted ceiling, koi ponds and chunky trellis.
A wide range of facilities are included, including golf.
Guests can play golf at the Tom Fazzio-designed Sandy Lane golf course and also have access to the exclusive Robert Trent Jones Jnr-designed golf course - the Royal Westmoreland. Green fees range from US$150.00 during the summer to US$200.00 during the winter, for 18 holes, which includes golf buggy. Golf clubs and shoes are available for hire.
