The Setai

The super-exclusive Setai experience starts at the airport, where a concierge meets you and whisks you away in the hotel's Land Rover and directly to this resplendent resort in two buildings: one a restored Art Deco hotel, the other a new 40-storey glass tower. At the gates lie the white sand and inviting waters of South Beach. It's this kind of service and setting that attracts Madonna, Bono and other well known celebrities.

You enter a vast lobby of brick, bronze plating, tropical wood and leather. The Setai is distinguished throughout by this attention to natural materials. Rooms are similarly Asian, with teak furniture and walls, and black granite baths. The effect is both soothing and reviving.

In the gardens are three lovely pools, and a 90-foot poolside bar offering a quintessentially South Beach atmosphere.
