Vedema Resort

Created in the footprint of a 15th century vineyard, Vedema is Santorini's most elegant hotel. Spacious villas - crowned with distinctive cupolas - form a luxury resort with swimming pools, restaurants and spa. Vedema is situated on the edge of the traditional village of Megalochori in the southern half of the island reputed to have the best sunsets in the world.

The resort enjoys an idyllic location overlooking the Aegean Sea, with its own private beach and beach bar. Guests can take to the hotel's mountain bikes for a unique sight-seeing excursion round the island, hop on a speed boat to visit neighbouring islands, join a sailing boat volcano watch or even a winery tour. For complete relaxation, Vedema's minimalist Cycladic spa uses natural products to soothe the body and mind.

The 45 suites and villas are furnished in simple, yet elegant island-style, with marble floors and a contemporary feel. All have terraces with sea or garden views. The Aegean Suites include an open-air Jacuzzi to the veranda. Villas are larger and more luxurious still, with private swimming pools and individual decor. The Presidential Villa has three bedrooms, pool, whirlpool and the option of private dining inside or on the spacious terrace.

During the day, breakfast and light meals can be enjoyed at the Pergola Pool Restaurant, with views of Megalochori. At the heart of the old winery, the vaulted Vinsanto Restaurant serves exquisite Mediterranean cuisine - while 'Prive' offers luxury dining with the utmost discretion in a cosy private area.
